Dévoilement du parcours de RedBall Montréal le 4 août 2014

RedBall est un immense ballon rouge de 15 pieds de diamètre, qui sera gonflé et inséré à différents endroits de Montréal. Par sa présence monumentale, cet énorme ballon rouge réinvente des espaces familiers ou met en lumière des endroits que, par habitude, on ne remarque plus. Il s’agit en fait d’une expérience artistique et sociale qui est destinée à raviver notre imaginaire collectif, par des expérimentations sensorielles, visuelles ou tactiles, réservées ou débridées. Souhaitant tirer profit des particularités architecturales, historiques et culturelles de la ville, RedBall Montréal sera mis en place dans des endroits improbables parmi les plus achalandés de Montréal.

Through the magnetic, playful, and charismatic nature of the RedBall the work is able to access the imagination embedded in all of us. On the surface, the experience seems to be about the ball itself as an object, but the true power of the project is what it can create for those who experience it. RedBall Montréal s’installera dans des lieux familiers ou insolites, du Nord au Sud de la métropole pour nous donner à voir la ville sous un jour nouveau. Cette installation in situ et nomade (un jour, un lieu) réveille notre regard avec humour et dérision, et avec le grain de folie et de poésie que l’on aime tant aux Escales Improbables.
RedBall Montréal will be one of the highlights of the 2014 edition of Escales Improbables de Montréal. Follow the Redball Montréal line-up from August 31 to September 6.
