Organ Mood

The performances of Organ Mood, a collective of visual and sound artists from Montreal, are a sort of ritual in which the public can join to discover a greater energy to pursue other projects. Since 2008, they try to transform the notion of audience by encouraging a more engaged relationship with the public. Analog synthesizers, overhead projectors and their own instruments are the tools which they share with the audience, all electronically related.

Organ Mood musicalizes spaces such as the Atrium of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal that they have transformed into a psychedelic space; the yard of the artist-run Centre Écart de Rouyn-Noranda, which became an improvised mini rave; a church at Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, and the very rococo Teatro Fru Fru at MUTEK in Mexico.

They have also toured in Quebec with pop artists, performed in various festivals in Montreal such as MEG, MUTEK, FME and Les Escales improbables de Montréal. Organ Mood vient de sortir leur nouvel album Comme si nous étions déjà libres.
