Cordâme

     Formed in Montreal in 2004, Cordâme explores the textures, the tone and the sonority specific to cords instruments  and so creating evocative music, rich in images, which take us into the metis folklore. Through the last few years, all Cordâme distinguished himself through his repertoire of his 3rd (imagined locations) and 4th album (Daydream). Critically acclaimed, the Imagined Places disk won the Opus Prize in the category: Best Album – world music. The group has traveled though the roads of Quebec taking part in several festivals and theaters. On stage, Cordâme will charm you with its accessible songs, haunting and dreamlike atmosphere. Strong melodies and expanded arrangements of composer and bassist Jean Félix Mailloux, transport us into a musical adventure attractive at the crossroads of jazz, world music and chamber music.
