Alain Michard

Alain Michard is a film-maker, choreographer and visual artist.
He creates and presents his works in theatres, dance festivals, but also in contemporay art centres (museums, bienniales). Most of his works take place in a tight link with its context producing site-specific events and forms.
He invites other artists to join him for collaborations, as well as amateurs, inhabitants of a district or villages where he settles.
Thus he participated and created several artists residencies and festivals, mingling performings arts and visual arts.
These last years, Alain Michard is devoted particularly to cinema, from documentary to feature film.
His projects are crossed by different themes such as : wandering, the quest of a community, a family to re-invent.
